WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
We’ve always been 100% grass-fed and grass-finished – it’s been our standard from the beginning. As an American Grassfed Association (AGA) certified farm for over 8 years, we’re proud to be ONE of only THREE farms in North Carolina to hold this certification.
Our commitment goes even further: our grazing land has been USDA Certified Organic for more than 11 years, meaning we never use herbicides or pesticides and instead rely on natural land stewardship practices like weed eating and bushhogging for weed control.
Being AGA certified means the American Grass-fed Association has accredited us for having:
- Animals that were only fed grass and forage from weaning until harvest
- Animals that were raised on pasture without confinement
- Animals that were never treated with antibiotics or growth hormones
- Animals that were born and raised in America
