Flavors of Romania Wine Dinner

Explore the wines of Romania at this five-course wine-tasting experience in The Barn at Summerfield Farms. This dinner will feature 5 courses with 5 wines.

Each attendee requires one ticket that includes a 5-course meal, 5 wine pairings, and gratuity. Beer and more will be available for purchase at a cash/credit bar.

 

PASSPORT SERIES:

This is the 13th and **FIRST** dinner in our Passport Wine Dinner Series for the 2023 season. Past countries include: South Africa, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Austria, Japan, Australia, Greece, The United States, Argentina & Lebanon. If you attended a previous dinner, please bring your passport book with you.

If you have not attended a previous dinner, you will receive a passport book at the dinner.

*You do not have to attend any other dinners in the series to attend this dinner.

 

TICKETS & SEATING:

There are two types of tickets for this dinner. Tables of 2 will be reserved separately and there is a limited amount.

Tables with more than 2 will purchase tickets individually. Please list the names of the guests you’d like to be seated with at checkout. We cannot accommodate tables for 2 in this category. Thank you for understanding.

***Guests purchasing the ticket type “Individual Tickets for Tables of More than 2” must attend as a group together. We do NOT seat guests with other parties, unless attending as a group.***

 

WINES:

Wine pairings have been selected by our expert in-house Beverage Manager, Caren, who will be sharing all about the wines throughout the evening. All are indigenous varietals from the Romania region. Multiple wine regions in the country will be covered.

 

MENU: crafted by 1618 on location.

First course: Jumari (confit pork belly)

Second course: Ciorba de Burta (beef tripe soup)

Third course: Sarmale (cabbage rolls)

Fourth course: Mici (SF ground beef) + Bulz (salty sheep cheese + polenta)

Fifth course: Papanasi (fried cheese doughnuts, sweet + sour cream, jam)

 

Food allergies? 1618 can accommodate serious food allergies and accommodations. During registration, there will be a spot to list your request.

 

Capacity is limited! Ages 21+ only.No outside food or beverage.
