WHAT IS CSA?
For more than 25 years, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for community members to buy local, seasonal food directly from the farmer. As a Summerfield CSA member, you’ll receive a share of our harvest each week. When you participate in a CSA, you invest in your health and local economy while strengthening your community. At Summerfield Farms, we offer a six-week CSA three times a year in spring, summer, and fall. Our CSA bags contain a variety of seasonal organic crops at a discount. Produce may include greens, like baby kale and arugula, or heirlooms, like tomatoes and cucamelon. We also offer Southern favorites like beans, blueberries, peppers, and okra.
If you love organic veggies and preparing meals based on the season, then a CSA may be perfect for you! Each CSA pack comes with a featured recipe suggestion and is prepared with love from our team.
